About the Equal Opportunity Cell
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) is constituted to ensure that all students and staff—irrespective of caste, gender, religion, disability, language, region, or socio-economic background—are provided equitable access to academic resources, institutional facilities, and growth opportunities.
The Cell functions as a proactive mechanism to prevent discrimination, promote social justice, and foster an inclusive campus environment. It operates in accordance with the guidelines and directives issued by the University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education, and the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions.
The EOC plays a crucial role in supporting students from SC/ST/OBC/Minority communities and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) by facilitating academic support systems, grievance redressal, awareness programs, and access to government welfare schemes.
Key Objectives
- To ensure non-discrimination and equal treatment for all stakeholders within the institution.
- To promote an inclusive, respectful, and supportive academic environment.
- To support the social, emotional, and academic development of students from disadvantaged and under-represented groups (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/PwD).
- To assist students in availing government scholarships, fellowships, fee-reimbursement schemes, and remedial coaching facilities.
- To organize sensitization programs, workshops, and awareness activities on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- To collect, review, and analyze diversity-related data of students and staff to support evidence-based institutional policies.

- Guidance and counseling for students facing discrimination or academic challenges
- Coordination with scholarship and welfare agencies
- Grievance redressal and referral to appropriate authorities
- Awareness programs on constitutional rights, social justice, and inclusivity
