Zero-Tolerance Policy Towards Ragging
Anti-Ragging Policy Statement
In conformity with Supreme Court judgements and directions, AICTE, UGC guidelines and State Government instructions, Siddhant College, Ambapur follows a Zero-Tolerance Policy towards ragging.
Any student found guilty of ragging will be severely dealt with as per the provisions of law.
Ragging is a criminal offence Strict compliance ensured
About Ragging
Ragging violates dignity and ruins lives and careers. Ragging is completely banned on campus. Any direct or indirect involvement will attract punishment.
The college ensures strict preventive measures to maintain a safe and conducive academic environment for all students.

Objectives
- Prohibit teasing, harassment, or rude behavior
- Create awareness of consequences of ragging
- Maintain constant vigilance
- Address complaints immediately
- Conduct Anti-Ragging Cell meetings thrice a year
What Constitutes Ragging(As per UGC Regulations, 2009)
- Teasing or rude behavior
- Rowdy or undisciplined activities
- Causing physical or psychological harm
- Forcing students to do humiliating acts
- Disruption of academic activities
- Exploitation of services
- Financial extortion
- Physical, sexual, verbal, or online abuse
- Bullying or discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, background, etc.
Punishments
- Warning / written apology
- Suspension from classes
- Withdrawal of scholarship / benefits
- Debarment from exams
- Withholding results
- Hostel suspension / expulsion
- Cancellation of admission
- Rustication (1–4 semesters)
- Expulsion from institution
- Debarring from admission to other institutions

Enquire into complaints & recommend punishment
Oversee undertaking from students
Conduct awareness workshops
Provide contact details for complaints
Offer counseling support
Prevent ragging inside campus
