College Development Committee (CDC)
The College Development Committee (CDC) is constituted as per Section 97 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.
The Committee meets periodically to deliberate and make recommendations on improving academic standards, teaching quality, staffing patterns, distribution of workload, internal evaluation, student discipline, and overall academic progress of the college.
It plays a vital role in determining instructional programmes and monitoring the development of the institution.
Aim
The College Development Committee (CDC) is a statutory body stipulated by the University to monitor, guide, and strengthen the academic and administrative governance of the institution.
Objectives of the College Development Committee
Prepare a comprehensive development plan for academic, administrative, and infrastructural growth
Foster excellence in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities
Decide the overall teaching programmes and annual academic calendar
Recommend introduction of new academic courses and creation of teaching and administrative posts
Review self-financing courses and recommend improvements
Encourage and strengthen research culture, consultancy, and extension activities
Provide community-based outreach services through extension programmes
Promote academic collaborations to strengthen teaching and research
Encourage use of ICT in teaching and learning processes
Recommend improvements in teaching quality and training programmes for staff
Prepare annual financial estimates (budget) and financial statements for management approval
Formulate proposals for new expenditures beyond the annual budget
Recommend welfare activities for students and employees
Discuss IQAC reports and make suitable recommendations
Frame admission procedures as per statutory norms
Plan major annual events such as Annual Day, Sports, and Cultural Events in coordination with Student Council and Student Nurses Association
Recommend measures related to discipline, safety, and security
Recommend distribution of prizes, medals, and awards to students
Review inspection, audit, NAAC, and local inquiry reports
Prepare and submit the annual report of the Committee to the Management and University
Perform additional duties entrusted by the Management and the University
