In alignment with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the college’s commitment to ensuring inclusive education and social justice, the Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group (SEDG) Cell is hereby constituted
Objectives of the SEDG Cell
1.To identify students belonging to socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds (including SC, ST, OBC, minorities, first-generation learners, and economically weaker sections).
2.To provide academic, emotional, and financial support for their holistic development.
3.To ensure equal participation and representation in all academic and co-curricular activities.
4.To organize capacity-building programs such as mentoring, soft skills training, and remedial coaching.
5.To liaise with welfare agencies/government bodies for scholarships and support schemes.
1.Maintain a confidential database of SEDG students.
2.Disseminate information on scholarships, fee waivers, and support systems. Provide counseling and mentoring support.
3.Coordinate with other cells (EOC, ICC, Career Guidance, etc.) to facilitate inclusive growth.
4.Submit periodic reports to IQAC and Principal regarding activities and impact.
